O meu olhar é nítido como um girassol.
Tenho o costume de andar pelas estradas
Olhando para a direita e para a esquerda,
E de vez em quando olhando para trás...
E o que vejo a cada momento
É aquilo que nunca antes eu tinha visto,
E eu sei dar por isso muito bem...
Sei ter o pasmo essencial

Sinto-me nascido a cada momento
Para a eterna novidade do mundo...

Creio no mundo como num malmequer,
Porque o vejo. Mas não penso nele

O mundo não se fez para pensarmos nele
(Pensar é estar doente dos olhos)
Mas para olharmos para ele e estarmos de acordo...

Eu não tenho filosofia, tenho sentidos...
Se falo na Natureza não é porque saiba o que ela é,

Norway

Foram poucos os dias na Noruega, mas estive pronta para apreciar sensações únicas: fotografar de manhã à noite, com a "hora mágica"; viver e conviver com locais em Oslo e Lillehammer onde tive acesso aos seus costumes e à sua cultura; testemunhar muitos dos estereótipos Noruegueses: bonitas mulheres, país caro, as casas vermelhas e os seus lagos; presenciar as obras de Munch, o intenso frio que fazia (-18ºC) e os seus barcos Vikings!!

I spent only a few days in Norway, but I was ready to appreciate unique feelings: taking pictures from day till dawn, at “the magic hour”; living and being familiar with places in Oslo and Lillehammer, where I reached their habits and culture; witnessing many of the Norwegian stereotypes: beautiful women, expensive country, red houses and their lakes; observing Munch’s paintings, as well as the freezing cold (-18ºC) and their Viking ships!!

Photography Final Project

Professions that surround me inspired my final photography project. I noticed similarities of workers in my little village in Portugal, to the city I live in, Salzburg. I found three professions in Portugal: the mechanical, the fishmonger and the cheese producer. In Austria, these workers were the baker and the Lederhosenmaker.
The choice came from my curiosity about their work. The professions from Portugal and from where I now live share similarities, and this interested me.
Therefore, the main objective of my work is to get to know and learn more about these professions that I chose, as well as who and how it is practiced.
The common theme I want to portray is the importance of their main working tool- their hands.
Dealing with people who didn’t know me helped to not interfere in their work. As a result, my pictures captured them going about their daily work, easily able to ignore me, and my camera.
It was a really interesting work, with great people teaching me in their own way, as their fabulous hands work.
